OGC September Highlights
September has been a busy and exciting month here at The Original Gauge Company. From new content creation projects to exciting charitable endeavours, it’s been a month that reflects both our momentum and our commitment to supporting UK manufacturing.
Here’s a look back at some of the key highlights and achievements from September.
A Day Filming with MTDCNC
In September, our Managing Director Russell Hicks and General Manager Clive Legg visited the team at MTDCNC for a full day of content creation. The filming focused on OGC’s expertise in precision gauging and calibration, showcasing how our products and services support manufacturers across aerospace, automotive, defence, and other high-accuracy sectors.
The collaboration gave us the chance to highlight the skill, passion, and attention to detail that go into every gauge we produce and calibrate. We’re looking forward to sharing the finished videos soon across our social channels — giving a closer look at what makes The Original Gauge Company one of the UK’s most trusted names in metrology and precision engineering.

Five Determined Riders, One Powerful Cause
In September, Russell Hicks, Managing Director of The Original Gauge Company, joined Simon White, David Webb, Nick White, and Warren Munson to take on the Boo Cycle: Cherbourg to Paris – “The Return”, completing an incredible 275 miles in just three days.
The ride supported The Boo Charity, founded in memory of Russell’s late wife. The charity’s mission is to transform the lives of disadvantaged children in Kenya, providing education, life skills training, food, shelter, healthcare, and emotional support. Through its work, Boo continues to lift children out of poverty and help them build brighter, independent futures.
The journey was about far more than the miles covered. It was about honouring a legacy, creating opportunities, and proving that when people come together, real change is possible.
