Embracing Innovation Through Investment
September was a record output month for OGC International - with customer deliveries arriving on time at the highest level since 2019. As always, customer satisfaction is of the utmost priority to us, that is why we have taken the opportunity to reinvest into our business, in the form of new technology that will allow us to excel.
We are implementing new procedures of stock management, including new equipment and new stores, enabling us to offer more ’off the shelf’ standard items, providing our customers with the benefit of getting their products faster. To further increase the benefit for our customers, our Kitts Green facility has also invested in a new Laser Marking machine which aims to reduce lead times by up to four days.
OGC International has invested in a fully integrated bar code scanning system for work orders throughout the manufacturing cycle. This integration improves efficiency, data tracking, and capacity planning, resulting in reduced lead times and increased delivery performance.
RedBull Racing Visit
During November, teams from both New Milton and Kitts Green attended the incredible RedBullRacing facility in Milton Keynes.
This visit allowed both teams to learn more about digital factories: a ‘factory’ that utilises digital technologies (modelling, communication, operations) to configure, model and evaluate items before they are physically produced. This also gave the team valuable insights into how our gauges are critical to the development of cars. It is more than just a gauge!
