OGC January Highlights
We have kicked off 2025 with the continued development of our exciting new facility. We're thrilled to update you on the rapid progress of our new facility, which promises to revolutionise our manufacturing capabilities. Join us as we explore these developments and our continued commitment to excellence in precision engineering.
Progress Update: Final Touches on Our New Facility
We are excited to share that our new facility is nearing completion, setting the stage for a transformative leap in our manufacturing capabilities. Throughout January, we've been finalising the last stages of the facility, prepping it for the arrival of our new, advanced machinery.
Ryan has been hard at work diamond grinding the floor to ensure a perfectly level surface, a crucial step before our new investments are installed. We've also refurbished the lab doors, enhancing both functionality and aesthetics to match our updated surroundings.

Enhancing Expertise: Ryan & CJ's Training on the EuroSpark Machine
In line with our new facility development, our team have also been completing some training and upskilling.
This January, our team members Ryan and CJ successfully completed their training on the newly acquired EuroSpark hole driller under the expert guidance of Ryan Phillips from EuroSpark. This impressive machine has proven to be user-friendly, boasting an easy-to-program interface and navigable system, which is crucial for our operations.
During training, the team also encompassed some “Lean Thinking” to create a fixed tooling position and datums, which will cater for multiple diameter gauges in one set-up, enabling faster process turnaround times.
Work Experience at OGC:
In January, we had the pleasure of welcoming Ted Rose from Brockenhurst College, where he is studying for his Engineering Level 3 Extended Diploma, for some work experience at OGC. Under the guidance of Seb, our Thread Plug Grinding Team Leader, Ted quickly demonstrated his enthusiasm and aptitude for engineering.
In just a couple of days, Ted was hands-on with rough thread grinding production gauges, reading measurement instruments accurately, and making precise adjustments on the machine. His rapid progress and keen ability to apply classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios were nothing short of impressive.
Ted shared how fascinating it was to see and participate in the actual work that echoes his studies: "It was fascinating to see and do in real life what I've been learning about in college. The fine tolerances were a surprise, and I'm grateful to the whole team at OGC for boosting my confidence and giving me a firsthand glimpse into a career in engineering."
We are incredibly proud of Ted's accomplishments during his time with us and wish him all the best in his future endeavours. We look forward to perhaps welcoming him back to OGC in the future!
Accelerating Success with Rapid Spline Gauge Production:
We recognise the critical importance of lead times in maintaining efficient supply chains for our customers. To better support your projects and ensure timely delivery, we are proud to highlight our exceptional spline gauge production capabilities.
For example, if you are looking for the design and manufacture of spline ring or plug gauges, we can deliver sizes from 5mm to 200mm Dia in just 4 weeks from design approval to delivery. This capability ensures you receive the highest-quality precision spline gauges in a time that will not impact your supply chains and projects.
If you are looking for expert support in designing, manufacturing, or calibrating spline gauges, We're here to help. Contact us today to discuss how we can meet your specific needs and ensure your projects achieve the highest levels of precision.
